The Reason for the Seasoning

So the other day I actually had a LONG chat with one of the self described OWS leadership persons.

Here is some of the highlights .

I  flat out asked him:
Why they can OWS police and keep a clean protest?
I told him I have a real problem with a group that condone rapes and crime by doing nothing .

his answer ..:
Well we are the 99% and there are unfortunately rapists and criminals in the 99%..

ME: but you FIND those people and escort them out if for nothing else safty..

him: well we can’t. we are tiring to be all inclusive and .. we .. we need the body count…..

What OWS thinks about the teaparty.

#2 next up he was complaing about how the teaparty was funded by big bushiness.

I laughed.

He said:  well this millionaire gave your freedomworks superpac money ,thats bad…

so I asked,  how that was any different them nbc or Sorros giving Obama campaign money.?..(on the plus side they don’t like Obama either. LOL)

UH…

and his return was well there buying his vote.

My take on this , not neccicarily . money given is money given .

 

Then he gave some stupid example:  well what if you were running, and big oil gave  money to you so you would get rid of the EPA and they can pollute more..

I told him first off. regardless i fi got money or not the EPA has to go.

his response so it’s OK for corgperations to pollute..

my anwser. which ended up being a running thread , was States have regulatory angences already set up. The states can regulate ther own businesses, ALL redundant governmental agencies needs to be disbanded .

He honestly thinks that Cain is a tea-party candidate. and tried to twist my words twice  into we all support Cain because Cain said he was tea party candidate .

personally I love Cain, but they think were sheep and don’t realize were individuals that think for ourselves .

I explained we support who we support there is no consensus on who were going to vote for in the primary.

I said I personally  like Cain, but that’s my opinion..

he tried to say: well he says he’s the teaparties canatdate . so you support him.:

I said ” no, a teaparty canadate supports US> there is a difference.

they don’t buy our vote.

I finally laid it out that they have it backwards it’s not the tea party supporting any candidate, if the candidate says they are  teaparty candidate that means they support us , not the other way around..

the tea-party as a whole is a movement that is first off for lower taxes and less governemt and secondly for political education so that people can make an educated vote. 

There was a lot of back  and forth on basic  policy , and viewpoint like where the government has over stepped there boundaries.

This kid had never even heard it before .

Admitted, he really hadn’t ever heard the other side aside for what he saw on the news .

I asked him
What do you think is the reason you are going to Zacoti park.?
what is the cause of what your protesting ?

he said well Greed…

ok define greed.

well umm uh..

I told him flat out “greed” isn’t a reason it’s a term . 
what is the root cause ?

well CEO’s make too much money..

when asked what solutions they were proposing to the problems?

well we haven’t figured that out yet, but we have to help the poor people..”

basic sentiment :….  we need to spread the wealth around becuse americans have too much, becuse ther greedy….

In the next breath.
ok and we did a run down on how business functions and how government envolvement stifles it .

i told him it’s not that we don’t have the money, business are afraid to hire , or spend it here.

people with money are sending the money to india and other countries with less regulation and better return . 

 

…CEO’s that make too much money are at fault becuse they won’t give me a job.

I pointed out the climate for buisneses in the US, and the current Climate of Fear in te US  by businesses not wanting to Hire becuse of fear of ther future. thing is businessses are spending money but ther doing it over seas . which is exactly what this kid wanted not 5 minutes ealier to redistriburte the wealth to countries that “need” it.

unfortunately they don’t think that proccess thru all the way and can not understand why they have not work here now.

This i’m hoping he made the connection to.

His “redisturbution plan” is not even in order to redistribute. You have to make EVERYONE’s life shitty.

So he wanted to redistribute the wealth  to make more people have “better” lives but he was complaining about how there are no jobs here.

but in retrospect , he is getting exactly what he wanted , 3rd world country are getting jobs ..
