#HINESVILLE #GEORGIA DEATH ROW ANIMALS EUTHANASIA DATE: CHRISTMAS EVE!

BERTY COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL, HINESVILLE, GEORGIA
DEATH ROW ANIMALS
EUTHANASIA DATE: CHRISTMAS EVE!

If you would like to adopt one of the animals below, please contact
newbeginningsanimalrescue@gmail.com

The animals on this posting are on Death Row at Liberty County Animal Control.  We only have very little time, often days, to find them new homes or no kill rescues to save their lives. We have personally interacted with each one of these animals. Our descriptions are straight forward! Our conscience would not allow us to hold anything back, and we would never give false information to save an animal, because it would only result in the animal being returned. You will never find vicious/dangerous animals on our listing! Usually, little or none is known about these animals’ medical history. Thanks to micro chips, we do know that many of them are abandoned by military, which means they are most likely up-to-date on there shots, heart worm negative, and generally healthy; however, we cannot guarantee that, which is why each animal must receive prompt veterinary care after adoption/rescue takes place.

Spaying or neutering is a MUST!!!  This does not apply to rescue; however local adopters MUST purchase a spay/neuter voucher from us, as well as a micro chip and Rabies shot.  Spay vouchers are $75 (dogs), $60 (cats) and neuter vouchers are $65 (dogs), $50 (cats).  The cost for the micro chip and Rabies shot is $10 each. (If an adopter chooses to use his/her own vet for the spay/neuter, we will gladly reimburse the voucher amount upon proof from the vet’s office.)

Your help with adopting, rescuing, or fostering these animals is immensely appreciated, as is your help with cross posting to others who may be able to help save a life.

Black German Shepherd – Zeus

Zeus is only about a year old, has lot’s of energy and is a strong boy. He loves to play, chase after tennis balls, and get doted on. He is solid black and it appears he may be slightly mixed with another breed, possibly Black Labrador. He is a bit on the skinny side but nevertheless stunning.

Rottie mix Bruno abandoned in Fort Stewart

None of us can understand how Bruno’s former owners could just let him go. He is a very good boy, great with other dogs and loves people and kids. He is very, very sad to be away from his former home and it is heartbreaking to see him so depressed. He is obviously mixed with Rottweiler but is much smaller than pure-bred Rotties. He was starved when he came to Animal Control and at first refused to eat. He actually prefered being petted over eating, which is really sad when it’s a dog that’s already been missing out on a regular meal. He has a micro chip with a disconnected Fort Stewart number. He needs a home that will not do this to him again!!!

Dolly, the Shiba Inu mix is quite a sight!

Look at the pictures of Dolly and tell me that she is not a very pretty dog! Dolly is only medium in size and is fully grown. I guesstimate her weight at about 35 pounds. Her hair is almost white and very fluffy. She is very good with other dogs and children and would be sure to be a show stopper if taken to the park. Almost everyone who has met Dolly has mentioned that she looks like a Shiba Inu mix and that is what I see in her as well.

Itty bitty Gina, the Terrier mix!

Gina is everything you love in a Terrier. She is small, spunky and cute! She loves to be loved on and she has fun playing with smaller dogs; though, she’s a little intimidated by larger dogs. She is good around kids and has a wonderful personality. Her ears are probably the cutest thing about this little package. There’s no telling what all makes up this cutie pie, but Terrier is a sure guess.

Sad little Black Labrador mix…

Eclipse has had a tough life already. He came into Animal Control very skinny and full of scars. He had obviously chewed through a leash that he must have been tethered outside with. Poor boy is not liking his cell at all. He is sharing the cold cinder block prison with 5 other pups and he is the largest with his approximately 5-6 months of age. How can a pup so youn already be so scarred. He’s a sad sight to behold and I am afraid he will not make it out of Animal Control alive. Still, I am posting his pictures and story in hopes for a miracle.

Suzie Q needs you!

Suzie is a very pretty young lady with an outgoing personality. She loves other dogs and is great around people. Her look is adorable; her white is bright and clean looking and she sports very pretty orange spots. She appears to be mixed with Boxer and Bulldog and is not a large dog. I think she weighs around 45 pounds and I don’t think she is going to grow much more. She is a very happy dog and would love to have a forever home with a yard to play in.

*************************************************************************************Hoss,

Hoss, the PBT mix is a hoot!

Hoss is a very fun dog and it is clear that who ever had him before he ended up at Animal Control spent a lot of time with him. He acts like a puppy and is care free. He likes to pounce to show you that he wants to play and though he is a rough player with other dogs, he does get along with them. He is not very tall but is very solid and heavy. He is completely charcoal black and has a great face, framed by floppy ears. He is still young judging by his demeanor. I would not guess him over 2 years old.

How sad… (ELVIRA IS FULLY SPONSORED!!!)

All dogs tugg at my heartstrings at Animal Control but every once in a while, there is one that seems to make my heart ache a little more than the others. That would be Elvira. Elvira is a litty Black Labrador mix with very large, round sad eyes. She is malnourished, full of worms and covered with ticks. What happened? I can’t imagine the life this little girl has had so far and she’s only a baby, at the most 6 months old. What makes this so hard on my is the fact that she is as sweet as a dog can possibly be. She is so thankful for every little petting and softly spoken word and she loves everyone who will pay her a little attention. When I look at her I don’t see the dog she is now, I see a very pretty, shiny, well fed sweetheart of a dog – that is what I am hoping for. Most of you want the perfect animal, well, Elvira will be perfect if you just give her that chance. Please look ahead and see her the way I do.

Large, handsome bloke, looking for love!

This boy is an absolute joy to interact with. Cesar is as sweet in temperament as he is large in size. He is 95% Rottweiler, the only thing that’s missing are the tan eye brows. When you first meet him he looks intimidating but just moments later it is clear that he is nothing but a big baby. He is great with other dogs and is wonderful with humans. He comes when you call him and it seems that he would be very easy to teach tricks to. He looks to be around 3 years old and could quite possibly be house broken. Do you have room for a big, lovey?

Why I’m not impressed with hunters!

This is an example of why I’m not impressed with hunters! Okay, so I’m generalizing but us rescuers see hunting dogs just like Vera all the time – malnourished and obviously not well taken care of. Vera is shy but looking for human contact. She seem confused and doesn’t understand why she is being kept at Animal Control, isolated in a cell. It is clear that she is used to being around other dogs and it would be so great if she could go to a home with another dog to keep her company. But the truth is that Vera may not make it out at all… Hunting dogs are one of the breeds that rarely do. She would need a home with a high privacy fence, as she can jump a 4-foot chain link fence with ease. Vera recently had puppies and her nipples are droopy and will need some time to shrink down again.

Toby’s time in the spot light!

Tell me this is not a handsome boy?! Toby is truly a show stopper. He appears to be Chocolate Lab and possibly PBT. He is very well fed and his coat is soft and healthy looking. Toby loves people but ufnortunately was not socialized around other dogs. He would have to go to a one-dog home, which we know is a hard to find. Toby appears to be around 2-3 years old.

Take a Kit-Kat Break!Below are the wonderful kitty cats that are imprisoned at Liberty County Animal Control to no fault of their own. Everyone of these precious felines longs for a loving forever home, a lap to call their own, a window seal to peek out off and humans who wont let them down again. Just have a look. These babies were let down by their former owners and now they are on borrowed time. They are all beautiful and have sweet personalities. Please help!

New Beginnings Animal Rescue

Please remember to Spay/Neuter your pet.

FACT – The number one cause of death in healthy animals in the US is euthanasia. Please adopt

on the lighter side: a blurry field stripping of the crack berry..

if you are on facebook click view full post ..

been a while : first ,..idiot pet owners rant .

yeah i know , no videos or really any thing for nearly a week.

yes i’m still following the news ,

but i’ve been working behind the scene and i have a job right now in retail..

that i’m trying to get boku hours with until the new year to hopefully catch up on bills

,, between that and volunteering.. it’s been a particularly bad year at animal control dealing with moronic pet owners  that suddenly have decided there old dog isn’t good enough or after 11 months of having a  new kid they decide the dog dosn’t fit any more and dump them often for a new Christmas puppy….. .

then their shocked their is a chance their dog is dead.. it’s animal control stupid.. they have 5 days to find a new owner .

if you didn’t want them thrust into a disease ridden kennel environment( they come in sick, kennel cough happens)

to die in 5 days becuse there old , grumpy, and have tumor , or skin disease  because you never took them to the vet..

sorry it’s not the shelters fault you were a horrible human being , if it was me you’d be DNA’d and never be allowed to own another animal and i’d be at your home tomarrow to remove the new puppy… no really… i have to take classes and get a license to drive a car ..may be we need 16 hour class on basic pet care before people take on a new pet. might help dispel some myths..

and you filty breeders ,, you know which breeders you are.

you take any male and female dog, or some that might have cutise name combinations toss them to geather and chuen out puppies or worse any  dogs of the same breed churn out puppies and call them purebred…..

Backyard Breeder miller you know who you are …(bee road next to the church , Kellers flea market, that scum bag in the pet smart parking lot.)

( any combination, it may be clean and sanitary but the  things they have  in common are those bolded)

1. Motive for breeding: “fun”, “good for kids”, “to make money”. Does not screen buyers and seldom refuses to sell, even if buyer is unsuitable.

2. Breeds the family pet to any convenient pet of the same breed just to have purebred pups. Has no understanding or concern with genetics, pedigree bloodlines, or breed improvement.

3. Though the pets (sire/dam of pups) may be well loved, they were not tested for hip dysplasia or for other genetic problems such as cardiomyopathy and hypothyroidism.

4. Offers no health guarantee beyond proof of shots, if that. Unqualified to give help if problems develop.

5. Seller has little knowledge of breed history, the national breed club or of the AKC breed standard. May claim this does not matter for “just pets”.

6. Pups raised in makeshift accommodations, sometimes unsanitary, indicating lack of long-term investment in breeding and lack of true care for the puppies well-being.

7. Even when selling “just pets”, may produce AKC papers or “championship pedigrees” as proof of quality. Yet seller does not increase his own knowledge through participation in national, regional, or local breed clubs. Is not involved in showing their dogs to “prove” quality.

8. May be unwilling to show a buyer the entire litter or to introduce the dam of the litter.Cannot or will not compare/critique pups or pup’s ancestors.

9. Prices are at the low end of local range, since must move pups quickly. Advertises in the local newspaper classifieds.

10. No concern for the future of individual pups or the breed as a whole. Does not use AKC’s limited registration option or ask for spay/neuter contract to guard against the breeding of sub-standard pups. If you cannot keep pup, tells you to take it to a dog pound or to sell it.

sorry we reallly don’t need more lack luster  sickly , animals going around. if you care 1 iota for the breed or for dogs in general you wouldn’t do it.

and you bastards know who you are .. this isn’t to say all breeders are bad .. I don’t belive that at all.

there are good one . those we call ethical breeders , the ones that practice what they preach … but what practice is that ?

well here is a list :

Reputable Breeder

1. Dedication to producing quality dogs is serious avocation. Has so much invested in dogs that he struggles to break even, not make a profit. Will sell pups only to approved buyers.

2. Can explain how planned breedings are used to emphasize or minimize specific qualities through linebreeding, outcrossing, or more rarely, inbreeding.

3. Does not breed dogs younger than age 2. Has breeding stock x-rayed to checked for breed related problems . ie: for hip dysplasia, eyes checked , and thyroid screened. Can produce certification to prove claims.

4. Written contractual commitment to replace a dog with genetic faults or to help owner deal with problem.

5. Loves the breed and can talk at length about its background, uses, and ideal type.

6. Has an investment in dog equipment and the puppies environment is sanitary and loving.

7. Belongs to national, regional, and/or local dog clubs, indicating a love for the sport of purebred dogs. Shows their dogs as an objective test of how his stock measures up.

8. Shows litter and dam in a sanitary environment. Helps buyer evaluate and choose a pup. Explains criteria for “show prospects” versus “pet picks”.

9. Prices will be at the high end of local range. Price will not reflect all that is invested in the pups. A reputable breeder never profits from the sale of puppies. Does not advertise in the newspaper. Has an established waiting list for the pups.

10. After purchase, will help you with grooming or training problems. Will take back a pup you cannot keep rather than see it disposed of inappropriately. Sells pets with spay/neuter agreement and on AKC limited registration.

Although I am a proponent of rescue and responsible pet  practices( spay and neuter ) I enjoy seeing excellent examples of our breed and would hate to see it destroyed by the

glutted and often uneducated “consumer ” market. the easiest way to ensure this doesn’t happen is by educating the general public about . good vs bad practices and why things

need to be done within an ethical  set of  guidelines .

lets talk a little about investment ..

people seem to automatically jump to investment having to do with getting MONEY back but don’t realize that work doesn’t always have to do with money .

sometimes investment is seeing your hard work to make something you love better. or to strengthen it.

Good Breeding has more to do with , improving a breed and keeping it true to it’s intent .
