Grandma Vincitore Passed tonight

Mary Alice Vincitore, 87, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 20, 2008. A resident of Vero Beach since 1977, Mary had previously resided in Poughkeepsie. She was the co-owner of the original Poughkeepsie Music Shop and later Vincitore Piano and Organ Co., in Poughkeepsie, where she worked side-by-side with her husband, Joe, retiring in 1977. Mary had also worked as a Night Nursing Supervisor at Middletown Hospital and later traveled with her husband, Joseph who led the Army Band during World War II. She had attended Holy Trinity Church while living in Poughkeepsie.

Born in Monticello, NY, on July 14, 1920, she was the daughter of Joseph and Alice Murran King. She attended Monticello Schools, was a graduate of the Monticello High School Class of 1937 and was a graduate of the Vassar Brothers School of Nursing, Class of 1941. On Jan. 5, 1942 at St. Peter’s Church in Monticello, she married Joseph M. Vincitore. Mr. Vincitore survives his wife at home in Vero Beach.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Mary-Jo Deans and her husband, John of Sackets Harbor, NY; Michael Vincitore and his fiancee, Rose Dittus of Saugerties; Jon Vincitore and his wife, Kathleen of Poughkeepsie; Allison Hill and her husband, Robert of Vero Beach, FL; Paula Vincitore and her longtime companion, John Pultz of Pleasant Valley; Paige Fies and her husband, Paul of Vero Beach; Andrew Vincitore and his wife, Mary of Poughkeepsie; Marta Robinson and her husband, Kris of Poughkeepsie. She is also survived by a brother, Richard King of Charleston, SC; a son-in-law, Jeff Renk of Vero Beach; 21 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Renk and her siblings, Helen Sutherland, Eleanor Scarvalone, Thomas King, James King and Joseph King.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 218 Mill St., Poughkeepsie. Wheelchair entrance is located at the rear of the funeral home off Vassar Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 9:45 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Main St., Poughkeepsie, Rev. Joseph LaMorte will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

soo long time no real update…..

ok. in a nut shell:

Rescue

caught 2 kittens … got them vetted all that good stuff.

fostered for about 2 weeks , middle of week 2 caught there mama, all were spayed/neutered June 4th.

they were adopted last Saturday.(the 7th?) any way.
