monday morning :rain

i feel after this week end between work/dogs/school that i’ve not accomplished much .. but hopefully this si one of those small slumps that can be rapidly turned around.

after yesterdays . goof with the camera . i was able to recover from that a bit . adn although was unable to get any working actual textures i feel i have sufficient images to finish the details of this model off this week.

Lucky this morning it stopped raining early enough to meet up with Tracy and get some more work and research done.

mental notes on this building that need to be added and used for referance.

it was built in 1924 Tracy will sit down with me and go over any other historical facts that may come in handy for period textureing.

Steal at that time was treated with a red ironoxide paint. so the post swill be rust colored.

I took a few closeups for reference .

the stalls and rooms that are lockers and offices were made out of wood, so i will also have to adjust for hight , as they only appaer to be 5-6 feet tall. more of a cubical type layout then an actual room .

Tracy is doing her thiese on the windows/sky light of the building . so shes the go tyo girl for questions on glass which will come in handy for those textures .

I want badly to use Prman and a few scripts i already have , but for the life of me can’t seem to get it behave .I will be staying after class for that and asking a few questions .
I’m sure it will be the same problem everyone else has and as soon as i ask for help it will miraculously work .

still working would be nice I’ve spent enough time this weekend feeling like doo, becuse things that i have had no issues with for 3 quarters suddenly don’t like me..

this morning ,amung other things i took shots that i can hopefully use as a projection map. for the building . just trying to give my self all possable options here .

I got better referance of the elevators . and will finnish the roof today.

just to show i’ve attempted to get something working ,here are my basic brick texture map and it’s bump I was useing to test the shaders .

the little spare time i had this weekend beyond this was spent getting used to my camera . I’ve figure out most of the settings and what gets the better pictures .

images i got this morning . ae eccelt for textures becuse it was over cast and there for very difuse lighting and no shadows .

I had to use a tripod and much longer exposure time due to the low light .

argh this up coming week is not going to be cool

i just got my best buy schedules .
i work every day I’m not in class .

so time budgeting is going to be crucial
today after giving blood , and then work , i went straight to the round house and got some texture shots and some more referance of the roof beams ..

tomorrow i’m modeling and working on renderman textures

i have some of the textures worked at her . i started playing with the displacement map .
i’l week it more tomarrow

i also need ot get my HDR assignment done ..

Monday i will be at the roundhouse in the AM, hopefully i can find Stewart, he is the historian in charge of the paintshops .

i showed some emplyees my progress. they like it thus far ..

but this will be a tight schedual i think net week i’ll focus on the HDR images ..

then go back to the texturing. during week 4.
