I wantto go home .

re cap.

re cap of what transpired last week with my credit cards and the new info i just learned tonight.

I canceled then that day actually within about 20 minutes of finding the card stolen.
I canceled Wachovia first.
I didn’t realized I was missing my discover card until she called me.
Acting as discover card rep.
She got what she needed of me. Canceled my card then changed my mailing address to hers.
She was not betting on my double checking with discover the next day.
Discover confirmed the card was reported stolen.
The first actual rep I told a rep in Savannah contacted me, said “ok”, and never double-checked for a field office so I thought I was good, so as far as I knew I was. I did call the first time to ask if they had a discover rep.
I’m assuming who ever at discover fraud I talked to was new.
On Monday
I called again doing follow up
This time I found out my address was changed.
I call back because I was told it would take 2 days to get assigned an investigator and for all accounts to post.
This time I wasn’t allowed to get very far because I couldn’t confirm the address.
So. I was shunted.
The last time I called I got a person who at least gave me the info that there was no rep in savannah.
And the street address the card was changed too.
Then we contacted the police after Matt did a little footwork. And did a double check on there # she gave us.
She gave us her cell phone. Matt called once. Then she called him back 5 times.
Getting more and more angry. Each time first call was basically telling him that we had the wrong #. Matt confirmed no, because I had called it Friday and got a message she was away from her desk.
She hung up
By this time we visited our local cell dealer got the one piece of info we needed. Who is the 361 carrier? They said Hargay. She called back with “well you can’t track this phone”, Matt said Hargay. She hung up again.
She called again she said, “You can’t find where I live “. Matt said victory drive. At this pointy she was cursing up a storm this is while we are in route to the police station.

Matt replayed with” if you are so innocent they why are you cursing me out?”
Again hang up.
We got to the police station. And waited for an officer.
At first they were going to turn us away to wait till Monday. Then one cop remembered I got them 5 pizzas for St Patties Day because they rescued my car for a log… (That’s another story. read my live journal…)
So they went to work finding my detective.
I called discover card while I was there.
And the officer was able to get them to give him the changed address and I was able to get my address changed back.
So now we have at least the mailing address.
After we left the station they called matt again. This time threatening to “mess us up” because they” know where we live”.
Well that night we had 2 Special Forces from ft. Stewart stay over. We have a few good friends here.
Any way. Ed slept out side in the car Dan in the house and we stayed upstairs with the computers.
This morning I got my discover card password protected. So they can’t change it again.

been running around all week-closed all accounts and re opened new ones.

And I called in to equi-fax and have my ss# and every thing listed as stolen. So that should prevent any thing further.
Right now I’m more concerned with seeing my last 2 years worth of portfolio returned.

Now I just found out they called Matts cell at 10:45 tonight. So lets wait and see what happens . I will be sleeping with the katana again.
