trip home

Damn, Matt pretty much instead on driving all day today (yesterday). : -P
We left from Pine Bush, at 10am, Saturday,
It started snowing as we left NY, I love the snow,
We went home via Steamtown PA,
I loved that!
Mathew and I are huge train fanatics.
Steamtown has the largest collection of steam engines in the country
We took the tour and were in the machine shop. With a huge drop pit, and a bunch of engines in various stages of restoration.
It was just great. I’ll have some pictures ganked from their Boucher latter. Being I’m stupid and left my camera home. :-(

We hopped back on the road around 2:30 pm.
Then Matt drove until. Bethesda and we stopped.
I got to meet his brother John and Shelly, and little Jack, so cute, he was flirting with me.
We had grilled pizza, at their house for dinner. And sat and talked for a bit.

I like Shelly.

We got back on the road, at 9:00pm, and Matt took me around Bethesda a bit. Showed me some of his favorite train spots.
There is a neat place where the track is curved up to hold the train from going off a raised platform.
It was dark but I got to see it in the moonlight.
Ah the romantic moments for train fanatics and geeks.

We headed down straight through DC again.
Drove down PA Ave. until the 1600 block that’s, closed off.

We Debated, Christmas caroling at the whitehouse. Wondering weather or not we would get shot or not.

Debated Christmas caroling at the white house with Darci, Kevin, Vinny and Rob.

Laughed very hard.

Though about a nice “Free Lamo” sticker on the J Edgar Hoover building. (Well at least I did)
Thought about Christmas caroling the J Edgar Hoover building then we diced we should probably get out of DC, before we have anymore, bad ideas,

Drove past the pentagon.

I feel bad that building’s so close to the airport.
I think I’d jump under my desk every time a plane came in for a landing.

We headed south till Fredericksburg
Had a fight.
I kind of got locked out of the car.
It was unintentional, but I found that out latter.
y own self-punishment is usually worse any way.
I really felt bad.
We got to the Days Inn, exit 133b yeah.
It’s not cheap, it’s tradition!

I’ve stayed at this day’s inn every trip south to savannah.

by this time we made up.

We stayed up a bit, and watched Little Nicky.

South Park the movie was on at 1am, uncensored. So we started watching that.

We got back on the road. At, 10 are.
After a little um… playtime. : -P
And we met another conspiracy theorist.
Wow.
That’s all I care to blog about that conversation. Except that I felt like we were going to follow by feds till GA just for talking to that guy.
Too much info.

We drove south, for a long time
Traffic backed up.

And we got off to go on US 1 north of Richmond.
We saw a neat little train station.
Then Mat drove south on US 1.
At one point we left skid marks. At a light we nearly missed.
Well we left our mark in, some little town I have no idea where.

We stopped for. Stuff at J&R’s and then drove home …
next stop was SC at the border. wher thers a El Cheapo. whera cocker spanial. takes your cash and brings it to the register. :-)
thay also will sell me cases of Bawls . 30$
i have a new favorite gas station.
we broughthe trip full circle by driving arount , savannah tech parkinglott. that where we started thats where we ended.

then we whent home . to Matts house and crashed .
at about 10:30

end of trip
