sigh it’s reinstall all my os ‘s week yeah !!! must be the end of the quarter when i need them the most ,

right now i’m posting from my iMac running OS X jaguar . that will be reloaded tomorrow .
i tryed installing Red hat earlier on my pc , but i’m a very stupid newbie . and failed miserably . so i’m regrouping and trying again . then i’m trying a differnt distro. either redhat 8 or knoppix , .. i kind of look at this as a challenge and would like to figure it out on my own but being that it’s very intimadating . i’m not turning down help.
right now i’m hopeful reformating my 200 gig drive for win 2k. but ,.i’m not sure because the commands it took to get to the right drive weren’t the standard DOS commands .
one of the reasons that i was unsure is why it wouldn’t switch drives, it should of been cd c: or what ever .
then format C:
but for some reason it was reading what should of been C: as D:
and to switch drives it took D: dir
which is weird . that should of just brought up the file tree .

argh there is a love hate relationship with all my computers this week
this iMac need to get the OS reinstalled because it’s not stable right now . matt replaced the mother board and ther are a few hard ware conflits . i’m hopeing a reinstall with fix that . fingers crossed .

Dude the people in the video department failed to mention that free avid, can’t read, avid Express files! Gee. In fact they told me it would which is really pissing me off because I spent 50$ getting Mac drive for windows, i lost, my, legal OS and, now only have my cracked XP on here which really pisses me off. It’s not updateable so I’m so freaking open right now. Err.
I’m also pissed that i own a license that i can’t use. I have to call alien ware again. Because there morons. Fudge it. I’m e-mailing.
Err. Oh well be in the avid labs all day, Tuesday

Then 2-d all day Thursday.
And avid Friday, then 2-d Saturday, then avid Sunday.
Then I’m failing yeah!!!

It’s ok these things always work out,
I’m a fast editor.
So i think I’ll be fine
I’ll digitize Tuesday. Then start the edit.

Poor matt won’t get his CD’s back from me though, I need them for the techno.

Or maybe I’ll use the matrix sound track. Sigh i was hoping to use imp because they believe in GPL from what i gather. Hard to find bands that don’t mind people using their stuff although korn might be cool with it also they have an open contest for a new song, where they want people to submit music videos, for it. So maybe. Sigh too much work

Side note, i need new pants.
These are very comfy but they don’t fit right.
And I’m looking forward to the next big bike ride,

…Hum maybe my version of XP will install over, this version so i use the license i have. Ohm please fills in the blanks you stupid program.
But I’m afraid to do that my luck is it will crash it again.
I want to wait until Matts her with 2k, just incase.

( this was a thing Aleienware did to ALL there customers , they gave you the back up discs but , they didn’t work

they would then try to get you to MAIL you PC back to them ot get it reinstalled.

total bullshit… i normally keep one back up OS handy

it’s a crack butit was an absolut emergancy

and seeing as i DID havea license it just was to a disk that was sold deffective.. I think what eventually happened was we used a corporate copy of win 2k pro, I think it was an OEM MAtt had from whne he ran his busness. builder copy or what ever.

eventually we got it straightend out ….but i think that was only becuse I replaced the computer with my Compaq X07(new windows license again, I’ve had FOUR legal XP pro licenses) that lived for 4 more years after this)

22-30 mileish bike ride today .. so much for 12mi…
acctully this was more fun , and we got to see more stuff .we acctully made it from Matts house on Skidaway to , montgomery cross for water (7.miles), then over to vaden VW for quick free lunch and a car show (2miles), then down to the river(6 miles) then the last 7 miles to my home

well acording to map quest ,,
matt and i are pretty sure it’s 30. he will have to clock it tomarrow.

any way tired now .. bed till i decide to post in 10 minutes
