is there any one else that these aren’t quite sitting right with….
i was an avid follower of Glenn beck for years . was thrilled last year to have someone who openly would say .
it’s not about religion or Dogma it’s about values… then sometime after commonsense came out
he started to more more and more towards a very preachy stance..
lately I’ve been dealing with more and more zealots .
and it is unnerving me
i would consider myself an active tea party member..
but the movement was at it’s onset religion neutral , it was about small government , and lower taxes…
but not it feels usurped by Glenn’s 9-12ers and a new direction to have an American crusade…
which would be OK
except i fear it also is leading to witch hunts.
self described Christian conservatives
shunning and condemning
there brothers and sisters . for not being Christian
or being gay.
when right now conservatives need all the help they can get.
..
I’m saddened that I’ve had to turn him off lately ..
he has gotten to a place where he was talking out of both sides of his mouth. one side saying you done have to be religious and the other commanding people get on there knees and pray… but i don’t pray on .. what for a long time i just ignored listened to the comedy and commentary of a good show .. has turned into 3 hours radio preaching sessions . from what was always promised to be a good uninterrupted interview
has become he sidekick pat mocking and talking over people ..
it saddened me
i feel i lost a friend but the path chosen by the show is not one i feel i can follow any more..
and it wouldn’t be a big deal but he has so many gleeple following him right now
that it frightens me
i miss the days of shared values and an open forum, i miss the unifying shows that have gave way to this revival …..
i don’t know why I’m posting here I’m just looking for another conservative pagans take on this
if any one else is leery ..
and if their is a way to continue with the original intent of the tea party .
before this becomes some religious crusade usurped Republicans and theocrates , to drive votes in November.
